I started to open the perfume and incense project, yet my project was small but after my name was registered with Oxfam, my situation changed for the best.
Oxfam provided me with financial support to grow my business, so I bought perfume, incense, and Zabad. The materials were sent to me from Sana’a.
I loved my career even before I opened my business. The war forced us to search for a livelihood. I have five children who need school fees and life essentials, so I started the incense and perfumes project.
One of the difficulties I face is the movement of my customers from the district or the displacement to other cities. Also, during conflicts, we stay at home, and I can't go out to sell my products. In these cases, I distribute my products to my family to help me sell them in areas close to them.
My project has improved, and my capital has increased. The quality of incense varies according to the quality of the perfume, including the cheap and the expensive. Perfumes range in price from 1500 – 5000 YR($3 to $10). My life is better now, my children have continued their education, and my daughter is studying at university and working to help me provide life essentials for our home.
I hope my business expands, and I have many types of perfumes and incense.
